Terms of service
The plain-language agreement for using Minarva. By using it, you agree to these terms.
What Minarva does
Minarva backs up connected Instagram accounts to storage you own, watches them for signs of a ban or takeover, and helps you prepare the steps, letters and deadlines if one happens. It also offers free tools for anyone who has lost an account.
What Minarva doesn’t do
- We can’t restore an account. Only Meta can, and we can’t guarantee it will.
- We are independent and not affiliated with Meta, Instagram or Facebook.
- We never contact Meta, post, message or appeal on your behalf. Letters are prepared for you to send yourself.
- Our routes and letters are general information and templates, not legal advice. For advice on your situation, talk to a lawyer.
Your account
You need to be 16 or over. Keep access to your email address secure, because it’s how you sign in. Owners of a workspace decide who else can see and change it, and are responsible for the people they invite.
Fair use
Don’t use Minarva to:
- connect accounts you don’t own or aren’t authorised to manage;
- collect Lifeboat contacts without their consent, or send them spam;
- break the law, Meta’s terms, or anyone else’s rights;
- probe, overload or try to get around Minarva’s security.
We may suspend accounts that do, and we’ll tell you why unless the law or safety stops us.
Your content
Your posts, letters, notes and contacts stay yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to copy your posts to your storage, to show your Lifeboat page, and so on. Backups go to storage you own, so they stay yours even if you leave.
Plans and payment
Help for banned accounts is free. Paid plans add monitoring, backups and alerts, and renew monthly or yearly until you cancel. Paddle is the merchant of record: it takes payment, handles tax and sends your receipts. You can cancel at any time and keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for. See the refund policy.
Availability
We work to keep Minarva running and your data safe, but no service is perfect. Health checks and backups depend on Meta’s and your storage provider’s services, which can be down or change without notice.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Minarva isn’t liable for indirect losses, such as lost income from a banned account, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be limited by contract.
Ending
You can delete your account or a workspace at any time from the app. If we ever close Minarva, we’ll give at least 30 days’ notice so you can export your data.
Changes
We’ll email account owners about changes that matter before they take effect. Questions: hello@minarva.app.
